1 Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and data generated through your use of the Pakora platform:

• Account Information: Name, email address, business name, phone number, and password when you register.
• Shopify Store Data: Order details, customer records, product information, and cart data synced via the Shopify API.
• WhatsApp Data: Phone numbers, message content, and conversation history processed through the WhatsApp Business API.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, IP addresses, and device/browser information.
• Billing Information: Payment details processed securely through our payment provider (we do not store card numbers).
• Communications: Support tickets, emails, and chat messages you send to us.

2 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Pakora platform.
• Send WhatsApp messages on your behalf to your customers (COD confirmations, cart recovery, order alerts, campaigns).
• Authenticate your account and prevent unauthorized access.
• Process billing and subscription management.
• Send you product updates, onboarding guidance, and support responses.
• Analyze usage patterns to improve features and performance.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your customers' data for any purpose other than delivering the service you've configured.

3 WhatsApp & Meta Data

Pakora is an official Meta Business Solution Provider (BSP). Our use of the WhatsApp Business API is governed by Meta's policies.

• Messages sent through Pakora are processed via Meta's infrastructure.
• You are responsible for obtaining valid opt-in consent from your customers before sending WhatsApp messages.
• We store message logs to provide delivery reports, analytics, and team inbox functionality.
• Message content is encrypted in transit. We do not read your business conversations except for debugging with your explicit permission.
• Facebook Pixel is used on our marketing website for ad measurement. It is not installed on your Shopify store by Pakora.

4 Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: Trusted vendors (cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Meta / WhatsApp: Required to deliver messages via the WhatsApp Business API.
• Shopify: Data exchanged as part of the Shopify app integration you authorize.
• Courier Partners: TCS, Leopard, and other integrated couriers receive only the shipment data needed for tracking.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and users.
• Business Transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred with appropriate notice.

5 Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:

• Account data is retained while your subscription is active and for 30 days after cancellation.
• WhatsApp message logs are retained for 12 months by default (configurable in your settings).
• Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by Pakistani tax law.
• You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see Section 12).

6 Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
• AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest.
• Role-based access controls for our internal team.
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Two-factor authentication available for all accounts.

7 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Objection: Object to certain types of processing (e.g., marketing emails).

8 Cookies

Our website and app use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Keep you logged in to your Pakora account.

• Measure website traffic and feature usage (analytics).
• Run advertising campaigns via Facebook Pixel (marketing website only).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some functionality.

9 Third-Party Links

Pakora may contain links to third-party websites (Shopify, Meta, courier partners, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

10 Children's Privacy

Pakora is a business platform and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
• Send an email notification to all active account holders.
• Display an in-app banner for significant changes.

Continued use of Pakora after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
